Poppy and the Jezebels are another local band to me and my group as they were "pupils at Swanshurst School in Birmingham and put a band together in 2005. Three years on they have signed a record deal, gigged all over the country, released two albums - and none of them are over 18 years old." because they are a local band this means they are easy to contact if needed.

OUR DISCUSSIONS
Poppy and the Jezebels creates an alternate sound on Indie pop, as normally the stereotypical indie song is 'male sung'. Typically, as they are an all girl group this will automatically make it an edgy and original outlook to our video
For the soundtrack to our music video we have decided to use their song 'UFO'. This song is Different, thought-provoking, stimulating and imaginative, as it effectively captures an abstract quality we are aiming to achieve. This upbeat song also supports our ideas for fast paced varied shots creating the surreal effect.

"Poppy & The Jezebels have gigged with The Horrors and The Wedding Present, played a live session for BBC6 Music, played all-nighters in Mayfair for The Queens Of Noize, and modelled for Cosmo Girl. And been featured in lots of national press, from The Guardian to Artrocker and the NME. "

However, their music is becoming increasingly popular as The Guardian calling them 'clever, intriguing, funny and devastatingly cool;' and the Independent on Sunday- ''Poppy and the Jezebels have an exceptional ability that is beyond their years.' which is very good for the popularity of the music video, if it is done to perfection, as the sales will be increasing.
